It’s that time again! The newest version of One Thimble is here :). OT#20 is again a great issue with so many patterns. It was hard to choose what to sew for this blog, but I instantly loved the Retro Romper! And since Isabella got kind of addicted to jumpsuits and rompers, I knew she would love it. It’s a great design from Thread Faction. Before I go on… there is a giveaway involved! So make sure to read all 🙂

I used a really cute bio fabric from Stenzo with apples (I bought it here). I think it’s perfect for this! It was really a great sew. I love adding bindings and buttonholes. Now I know you will be thinking ” yeah sure” …. but I really do like it. It always is a bit tricky and a challenge of course, but that’s the fun part right ;). And when it turns out good or sometimes great, it’s great to see that Isabella loves the romper and had been wearing it quite some times already. The Summer is still going on here in The Netherlands, luckily it’s not that warm anymore and there has even been some rain, yay!

And since Summer isn’t over yet, Isabella could use another pair of shorts. I love the design of the Riptide Board Shorts, a pattern designed by Bubby & me Creations.  So I thought why not make it for Isabella although it is a boys pattern! I had to size down to a 6 and shorten it, but that was it, so it was a simple hack right? I used a light weight denim and a soft cotton. Of course, I added piping. Same story as the bindings and buttonholes ;)….
