Catherine Cardigan by Sewpony
Have you seen it? Suz from Sewpony has made another stunning pattern!
The Catherine Cardigan is a sweet and feminine fitting cardigan with options to create a garment that can be worn all year round. It features a round neckline, button up front band with optional pussy bow or short bow. The sleeves are gathered and can be made short, or three-quarter length with a thin band or above elbow length or long with a deep cuff. The back features a separate yoke and gathering. Suitable for light to medium weight knit fabrics, the Catherine cardigan is the perfect match for dresses, skirts and pants. The ideal cardigan pattern to add to your pattern collection!
It really is! I made a plain cardigan for Isabella, as Isabella doesn’t really like bows. I think she thinks they will be in her way during playing and running ;). Maybe I can convince her to test it, as we all know a bow will not be in her way while playing, right? Let’s see what future will bring us concerning the bow-will-not-be-in-her-way-discussion 🙂 .
I used a dark blue fabric from Megan Blue fabrics. I once bought to use for myself, but you all know exactly what happens if you go through your stash together right? She exactly chooses the fabrics you had thought of to use for yourself…. But yes, why not, she loved the fabric and I must admit, it’s really cute on her!
For sure I will be making more versions, as Spring will hopefully arrive here soon. That would be great for a short sleeve option, or maybe even hack it as a dress like Olga from Coffee & Thread did.
For all the Dutchies reading this post; the pattern is available in Dutch as well, how convenient, right? You can find it here.
