I was so excited when I could join the testing group of the Urban Jungle Dolls from Petit a Petit Patterns. Have you seen them already? Well, you’d better as they are all 15 so cute (yes, really, 15 dolls can be made! There are 5 Crews, each Crew containing 3 dolls, or you can buy the bundle that includes all 15 dolls ). I have made 2 until now and I am sure I will be making many more…. Celina did a great job, designing all those cute dolls, perfect gifts for the holiday season!

Of course it was quite difficult to choose where to get started, so Isabella decided for me. She choose the raccoon. I had some sparkly black fabric left and Isabella was sure, that had to be for the raccoon. The eyes were made of felt, but there are so many options, you could use all kinds of fabric scraps you have in your sewing room (and hey, I know you have them, don’t be shy, just grab them and get started 😉 ). And since I was going through my scraps, I found some knit with a raccoon print, so of course I had to make a simple skirt and shirt out of it.

Then Isabella saw all the cute urban jungle dolls from the testing group and she decided her raccoon needed a friend. The alicorn would be a good friend, she said. This time I used a super soft and fluffy fabric (excuse me, I have no idea what the English name is for it). The alicorn became super soft and cosy!

Celina designed some cool clothing as well, so I made the overalls and the parka for the alicorn. I mean, winter is coming here in NL, so the urban jungle dolls have to stay warm, right?!
