Let’s talk about Coffee and Thread!
So, let’s talk about coffee and thread… I mean, as a sewer you need both, right?! The more coffee you need, the more thread you will use ;).
And so, when Olga from Coffee & Thread invited me to join her blogtour, with so many great international bloggers, I said yes right away! And there it started, planning… with some coffee of course!
First, I wanted to make the Antalya dress. Wanting do something else and hack it, I decided to make it in knit. I succeeded, but did not pay enough attention, and so, it was like 2 sizes too big for Isabella… Stress alarm! What to do next… Not being brave enough to start over, I decided to make Olga’s latest pattern, the Polina dress. Oh and yes, as soon as the hacked Antalya dress fits, I will show it to you all, promised! 🙂
So, have you seen the Polina dress? It is sooooo stunning! It was on my list, as I really love the twirl factor (don’t we all?). I know Isabella does not really like ruffles, so I decided to make it without the ruffles and therefor I added bias tape to finish neck and armholes. And off course, I had to finish the circle skirt as well with it. I used the most lovely Pandalicious fabric from Art Gallery Fabrics. Just perfect for it. And since Spring is almost here (well, not while taking pictures…it was so cold and windy, poor Isabella!), the soft colors are perfect for the hopefully sunny Spring days to come.
Make sure to hop on over to all the lovely other ladies who joined the tour, there have been already so many beautiful makes. AND there is so much more to come!
And I know you all love giveaways, right? Be sure to check this one out!
