Fat quarter skirt
I love Fat Quarters…. And I do have quite some of them, just perfect for all kinds of small projects. A little bag, a pouch, making your own biais…and so many more things to think of. The only thing missing, was being able to make clothes out of it. So when Sherri from Thread Riding Hood was looking for some bloggers to join a blog tour (her first one, yay for Sherri!!) about making a skirt out of fat quarters, I was completely thrilled! I mean, just perfect for a quick skirt out some small pieces of fabric.
Don’t you love those bundles of pretty colors, prints, shades…? So, now I had to decide which ones to use. You only need 2 of them. One for the main skirt and one for the casing. I won some beauties from Michael Miller during the Great London Fabric Hunt. Perfect colors, I love blue!
It is quite an easy sew. It takes a little time to decide what FQ t use, and then you are able to start right away. Cut the sizes you need out of your FQ and start sewing. Easy does it :). And then, a big smile from your daughter, at least, that’s what I got when she woke up in the morning and saw her new skirt!
You know what, you could win a Fat Quarter Skirt Kit, mailed anywhere in the world! PLUS Sherri will be giving away 3 Fat Quarter Skirt Patterns as well. Giveaway open from March 5-12, 2017 at midnight EST. Enter to win by visiting Thread Riding Hood!
