Waterfall Raglan and 1year Chalk and Notch!
Wow! Chalk and Notch is having a party! It’s has been 1 year ago the talented Gabriela started Chalk and Notch and released her first pattern, the Fishtail Kimono. And since then, she released more wonderful patterns. The Top Knot Romper, Dress and Tunic, the Cascade maxi Dress and of course, a celebration asks for a new pattern, so there we go, the Waterfall Raglan is here! And a party would not be a party without some prizes, so be sure to read all post.
I have been very lucky to test most of Gabriela’s patterns (and the Fishtail is on my desk so will follow later this month for the Sewing Block Party Tour over at Petit a Petit and Family). You can find the Top Knot here and the Cascade Maxi here. Wow, don’t you just love them?
Now, about the Waterfall Raglan! It’s a relaxed knit top or dress with a gather ruffle hem. Long or short sleeves and you can add a pocket if you like it. Since Isabella really wanted a panda knit , I had to make her a top and even had to color block since I only had half a meter of the panda’s… (I bought it a while back, I believe it was from Megan Blue Fabrics) But you know what, it actually turned out really cute :). So, color blocking with the Waterfall Raglan is an extra option, yay! And I have been washing it already a few times, so I guess we can say it is one of Isabella’s favorites these days!
Gabriela has been making them in a wonderful stretch velvet (you can see them here), which shows it is perfect for the holiday season which is already in 6 weeks (yes really! I do not want to make you nervous, but you’d better start making some Waterfall Raglan dresses and tops soon, so you do not stress out 2 days before Christmas 😉 ).
